I played this a day after it came out, so if I missed things I could not look them up xD
Wow, this was really good! Always super exciting to see what you create and this was super fun to play!
The achievements are a really good addition to the game but oh my god the symbols were tricky to find sometimes xD
The story was very interesting, becoming increasingly insane day after day until you are just a screaming mad man. I mean, you were just doing your job, you did not kill anyone. IT WAS THE TREES!
Being alone in the forest for a week, getting hired by “a company” that we never get to know. The company clearly knows about the dangers, yet they hire people to chop down these trees anyways. How many came before you, how many more will they swipe under the rug for profits, we’ll never know.
The reporter clearly knows more, yet the player is firm on the belief that they’ll be fine, the trees tricks won’t work on them.
The Axe sounds so impactful, that is insane xD
Loved the easter eggs, loved the graffiti wall, the arrow is amazing, the paw too, I liked the paw graffiti :)
I’m sure there is more that I have not found, I might check the hame out again soon tho, since I do wanna know the other ending and all achievements.
But if you get an achievement for doing the cat, then I will be angy.
What I took from Bloodbark is that the game isn’t simply about a madman, it’s about a mad system. To me, Bloodbark is not just a story of individual psychosis, but a powerful political and ecological allegory. The protagonist isn’t just "insane"; he’s the logical product of a sick world, one that destroys living beings without a second thought.
Everything is well put together and the horror aspect is just enough of it. I'm not very good at finding easter eggs and achievements so I only covered the 2 endings into the video.
Hello, If you'd like a free voice actor for any future games you may add dialogue to, let me know! :) I'd be Happy to voice act for you! If you'd like reference, I voice acted in the game "Lurking Danger" by a developer named Farelas :)
It means a lot! I really like Farelas' games, but i hadn't checked out that one. Amazing work! I'll tell you for sure if any voice-acting is needed in future games!
First, I loved the game! Horror games with hidden secrets and Easter eggs are my favorite! Second, I make content on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/@HulkingEnigma) about horror games, and one type of content I make is "Did You Know" shorts. In these shorts, I talk about hidden secrets and stuff in the games.
I want to make some shorts about your game, and I would like to know if you would share any assets that I could use in the videos. I mainly want to use the achievement images, but I would love to know if you can share anything.
Sure! Just tell me where can I send them to you. I will not have access to my computer this week so I cant give you many assets, but luckily the achievements I do have them on my phone :)
Both of the endings shocked me. The build up to both ending were amazing. It's a cool concept to see nature fight back. This entire game is amazing. I didn't get all of the achievements but I got a good chunk of them. I can see why this is pretty popular. Keep up the good work.
Awesome game! This concept is amazing and I love the fact that you used the idea that the trees were fighting back to survive. The plot twist at the end had me shook, and the jumpscares had me rattled. Hoping to see more from you, great work!
I really enjoyed it as it built supense as we went thru the woods. The lack of music and just hearing the wind and creaks were a nice touch. I'd try something diffrent though to get less invisible walls since the trees were so spread I thought I could freeroam more than I actually could, but all in all a nice suspensful game.
It does so with many games of itch. You can see it happen in some streams. That does not mean you shouldn't be careful around those warnings, always check! :)
Really cool concept! Loved that this was inspired by an actual art piece. It's always cool to see how some things would be like if they were made into a video game. Well done!
Another example of why it's always a treat to dabble in indie horror games as a niche. A simple foundation for story and gameplay yet the passive eeriness in the environment and the hallucinations tormenting the protagonist over time was excellently done, I enjoyed it wholeheartedly.
I have a playthrough (with both endings) and a review expanding upon my thoughts, all timestamped accordingly. Enjoy.
Was not able to play the game at all. It zoomed in on the blood tree as soon as I awoke from bed and the camera was fixated on the blood tree. Nothing I could do to fix. I could walk around, but not see my character at all. Idk why I am having this issue.

Sounds good, I hope to hear! :)
Definitely enjoyed that, lots to it. I don't understand why it lags tremendously the first playthrough though, after that it runs smooth as butter.
THAT. WAS. AWESOME!!! Wonderful psychological horror!

This game looks a lot like that one. Did you get inspiration from it by any chance? https://agar.boston/games/dont-escape-2.unblocked

Microsoft Defender gave me a warning about the game. why?

Muy buen juego, pase un rato bastante entretenido y con buenos sustos
Please Forgive Me Cat God Bean!!
The first playthrough was grand. The achievements were a nice and unexpected extra.A delightful psychological horror.

Have you tried restarting the game? Might be the scene did not load quick enough for the animation to happen
that was really good! I love the story
