Bloodbark
A downloadable game for Windows
Your job is to cut down the Bloodbark trees, highly priced for their exotic red wood. The trees are bleeding, but that is natural in this species. Just one week and you are gone.
But the trees are aware of your presence. They know your intentions. They will fight back.
Bloodbark is a short horror game based on the works of Eduardo Valdés-Hevia, a known horror artist. While specially inspired on his artwork "Bloodbark", many of his other works are also featured on this game. Check his work out clicking below:
This game features 25 achievements and 2 endings. The game is full of easter eggs and, while I recommend hunting them on the second playthrough, You will likely get at least one achievement in your first.

Hey Sir Tartarus,
I played Bloodbark for my most recent YouTube video and it really gave me the SPOOKS! The concept is really great and it had me on edge the whole time! I especially enjoyed some of the (very real) facts about how plants defend themselves!
Keep up the great work!- Frothy
I was always looking for a jumpscare, so every loud noise freaked me out so much
very very good
Very nice game!!
Can't Wait for more!
Thank you!

My game stops after saying high demand and just freezes. But I love the concept and I am hoping it ends up working for me soon!
I suppose you have since you got to that part of the text, but just in case, did you press space?
I tried to press a few keys but i'm not 100% if it is one that I am pressing I will boot it up shortly to check and lyk tho!
I tried it that time and it worked thank you and my apologies for the stupidity (Overall 9/10 on this game)
Really good game!
Very strange and unique concept, and honestly left me with more questions when it was over. Would love to learn more about the world in game!
One of the most unique psychological horror experiences I’ve had in a long time. The atmosphere is unsettling in all the right ways—and the secrets? Oh man, I live for a good secret hunt. I had a blast playing through this and fully plan to 100% it this weekend. The story is a wild ride, and as a bonus, the thumbnail I made for this ended up being one of my personal favorites. That’s always a win in my book, haha. Thanks for making this!
I'm having a problem with the marks. I've gotten 19, and I know you can get the 20th on the other side of the bloodbark sign on day 7, but no matter how many times I replay the game, the mark isn't there! Has it been moved?
Give me a few days (I'm on exams so i can't now) and I'll test it out!
Any luck?
My mistake, I forgot! I'll check right away
I suppose it doesn't appear cuz you may have found it before, even if not realising it. Here's all of them in case there is a different one you haven't found!
1. Cabin Roof
2. Signal
3. One of the trees with ropes
4. Day 2, next to the third big rope
5. Inside the fireplace
6. Bean's favorite log
7. Backside of the cabin
8. Among the graffitis
9. Next to the journalist's van
10. Lake's rock-holding structure
11. On the tree in the path to the lake
12. On the lower part of the normal tree that falls on Day 4
13. Behind a tree in the new path of Day 4, behind the fence. A tree that is kind of inside the pathway
14. Behind the tree next to the leaf piles at the cabin
15. Next to the fence/rope you open on Day 2
16. On Day 2, behind a tree between the 2nd and 3rd rope
17. On the fence opened on Day 3
18. Next to the fence opened on Day 4, on of the tree next to the fence, the closest one even
19. Next to Googliel's cross on Day 3, where you felled the tree from Day 1
20. On the same tree as the beard
im ngl, this game was peak fr lol. the concept and all was crazy too like w creativity
i dont know who you are but thank you, i loved your game soo much, no spoilers but gen was such an interesting idea 😭❤️!!
Loved the game and the story. Also the environment was creepy to walk through. Only thing I would say is I wished it had full screen
There is fullscreen, you just have to press f1
Honestly this game was a lot of fun. You indie devs keep making games that resonate with audiences 100x more than what a AAA studio does.
keep grinding I want more from you guys! Simple but satisfying!
is so goooooooooooood
Lest try
Great work 10/10
This was a great game! I loved the idea of it as well as the atmospere, it felt like the trees were watching me! a 10/10 horror game! Start 24:43
Really cool game concept! Wish there was more :D
Really enjoyed the story along with the graphics! Incredible it was inspired by a piece of artwork, very creative and well executed.
Very well hidden secret ending, took me a while to find it and I definitely didn't do it the right way lol, lucked into an accidental "exploit" (had to replay after editing to check the proper way to get it, clever!)Excellent experience this game was, looking forward to whatever you create next!
Nothing happened much on my playthrough just because Im scared hahaha, still a fun game though
Played it a few days ago:
My Thoughts/Review (DEFINITELY contains spoilers):First off, what's up with the cabin lmao? I lag SO damn hard when I look at it let alone when inside. However, when I'm literally anywhere else in game, including in front of the cabin (as long as I'm facing away from it), I don't lag at all. While it did not hinder me much from playing I do think its worth mentioning. Now onto the "nitty gritty" as they say. Buddy, I was scared more often then calm this game. The walking trees surprised me so much I didn't even know what to do and initially panicked. The Man who was standing there that turned into a tree casually made me scared to even walk over let alone chop that tree down. The first time the tree bled it scared me so bad I backed up. Towards the end when the cops are gonna get you, just before that, when you finally walk outside the gate? The things that flash across your screen scared the hell outta me. The part where I chopped the car was a surprise. I assume it was a reference especially since it was an achievement lol. I also will admit that I was a bit daft when I played. It was not until we chopped the man/boy down who was tagging the wall on the bathroom that I realized that I was a killer and that the trees were indeed probably people (well at least two of them according to the lore in game). 4/5 because the cabin lag, keep it up bro and thanks for making the game.
The Ents got me good.
